    Alan Roebuck , graduate of UMIST is largely self taught .

His paintings move between Stylistic Realism and Abstract , usually using Acrylics on canvas . Ideas spark from anywhere and he is never sure the path his paintings will take nor the destination reached . Nevertheless Alan tries to make sure that colour and exaggerated shapes are dominant features .
